A letter to the heart

Dear heart,

How have you been holding up to lately? Did you spend your days missing your Lord and remembering Him in everything you do everyday? Have you told eyes to cry out for forgiveness and head to bow down and prostrate?  O heart, have you been grateful each time you pump a single blood to supplicate this borrowed body?

Sometimes you feel you feel lonely and blue and when it gets too much; you felt something is wrong. You questioned this uneasy feeling and you realized that you’ve been so distance to your Superior. O heart, verily Allah had never moved an inch from you, rather it was you who is distancing yourself from His embrace.

‘And indeed We have created man, and We know what his own self whispers to him. And We are nearer to him that his jugular vein. ,’ (50:16)

Dear heart,

It’s never too late. As long as you’re still beating inside me, it is all because Allah. He made you beat, He placed wisdom in every calamity and made us strong, He gives us reasons to be happy in times of sadness and shone us light to guide our path in times of ignorance. You only have every reasons to be grateful. I know that faith doesn’t always stays on the same par but rather it has its ups and downs. But be strong. Be strong and push away temptations that is disconnecting you from Allah. Clear some space for His love and you will be surprise by how much solace you can find in His words.

‘…Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.’ (13:28)

Dear heart,

Stray away from sins. The hellfire seeks those hearts that’s filled with ingratitude and too much pleasure of the dunya. Never find happiness in luxury nor feel too good about one self. Be modest. Would you rather be poor in the eyes of humans or poor in the eyes of your Lord Almighty? His promise is far beyond grander than the world could offer you. So, strive hard for His pleasure.

So, let’s pray for a better outcome. Let’s be better that yesterday and aim higher than before. Last but not least, I ‘heart’ you. Uhibbukifillah.

Your sincere friend,
 Me.
